Como aprendemos Inglês?

Eu não sou um papagaio. O que tem de métodos milagrosos para aprender inglês no mercado hoje... Reflexo da pressa com que as pessoas querem aprender. A filosofia é simples, eu diria "simplista": como é que você aprende a sua língua mãe? Ah... repetindo, imitando a mamãe, o papai, a vovó, etc... Então chegamos a conclusão de que pra aprender inglês precisamos reproduzir as palavras, não é?
NÃO!!!!
O bebê tem uma disponibilidade mental, física, temporal muito diferente da disponibilidade de um adulto. Vejamos. Você ja tentou pedir para um bebê repetir o que você está falando? Ele não vai repetir, a não ser que esta palavra lhe seja familiar, ou ainda você lhe seja familiar, a ponto do bebê querer interagir com você.
O bebê só vai reproduzir a palavra se ela fizer algum sentido para ele.
Dizer que temos que aprender como bebês é uma afronta aos bebês. O processo não é o mesmo para os adultos. Os adultos têm uma outra velocidade de assimilação, outros parâmetros.

O caminho é o mesmo, inclusive o dos bebês, mas é pela inter-ação, pela produção de sentidos. Nesse processo faz-se necessário o uso da língua que inclui os chamados drills (repetições em grupo) e os momentos estímulo-e-resposta imediatos, porem não como uma técnica central para ser usada em todas as aulas. Essas técnicas podem e devem ser usadas com o objetivo final de dar condições ao falante da segunda língua de produzir sentidos em processos de interação humana.

Goals

An essential point is the goal. Everybody needs a goal when learning. It´s important to discuss in the classroom, what the common goals of the group are. What are the abilities they are keen on, and how can it help in ones learning process. When the teacher knows the student’s goal and his/her most accurate abilities, it’s much easier to plan a term and its contents, so that the objectives will be clearer and the learning problems can be predicted.
More than ever the companies are looking for employees that has horizontal skills like solving problems and group work skills. Maybe starting an English course with that in mind can help people to improve their way to face life and its current dynamic.

Down-to-earth, what is an amount of words or even phrases without connection?
They introduce you a data-base of communicative situation, like verbs, nouns, expressions, and so forth. That's what happen in some English courses and some e-learning methods. And usually you are supposed to repeat it all, before thinking in a real situation. I'm not saying you cannot learn by repeating words and expressions.
When I say I´m not a robot I mean that I don´t need to learn only by this way (neurolinguistic). The practice is part of the process, but it´s not the whole process.
Above all is textuality. We are human beings and the learning process of a second language goes beyond the bonds of cognitive science.
Learning English need special tools and these special tools are on the communicative situations of a daily life.
Realized situations of real world can teach the English you need for life.
